Classic Chili

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup green bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 16 oz. can Joan of Arc ® Spicy Chili Beans
  • 16 oz. canned tomatoes (cut up)
  • 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano leaves (crushed)
  • Cheddar cheese (shredded)

Directions

In large skillet, brown ground beef, onion and green pepper until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain off fat. Stir in tomatoes, beans with sauce, tomato sauce, bay leaf and oregano. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer 30 minutes. Top each serving with cheese. Makes 5 1/2 cups, about 4 servings.
